Due to the severity of the winter storm and the travel challenges it poses, Hunter College is shifting to remote instruction and remote operations on Sunday, February 22, Monday, February 23, and Tuesday, February 24.

What to expect

  • All classes will be conducted remotely on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Students should expect to hear directly from their professors with details on how to attend class remotely.
  • Course communication and remote access information will be shared primarily through Hunter email and Brightspace.
  • The 68th Street Campus, the Silberman School of Social Work building, and the MFA facility at 205 Hudson Street will be open to students who can travel safely to attend remote classes using personal laptops in designated spaces, including the cafeteria and the library at 68th Street.
  • Faculty and nonessential staff should plan to work remotely and monitor Hunter email for any additional guidance from supervisors.
  • At present, in-person instruction is expected to resume on Wednesday, February 25.

Please continue to monitor your Hunter email and the Hunter website for updates.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.
