Title: College Assistant (Part-Time)

Position Detail: Hunter College is building an applicant pool to fill a part-time vacancy. This position is subject to budget/financial availability.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $16.00 - $25.51 per hour

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
Under supervision, will perform various office support functions on a part-time basis. Selected candidate may be required to perform clerical duties including but not limited to: filing, typing, data entry, word processing, answering phones/reception, sorting/distributing mail, operating copy/fax machines, messenger and other routine clerical tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they possess sufficient skills to perform the duties of the job. High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Flexibility in the workplace, must be able to multitask
  • Must be punctual (Work days/hrs are arranged by the supervisor; 20 hrs per week max.)

Fingerprinting and filing fees are applicable (F/T CUNY students are exempt from fingerprinting fees).
