Title VI training covers the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in programs receiving federal funds. Training programs explain the law's scope, legal foundations, and best practices for compliance, including policy development, complaint investigation, and risk mitigation.
Required for: ALL full-time employees (faculty and staff)
All New York State employees are required by law to participate in ethics training every calendar year. Unlike the other training courses, this training is NOT offered through Brightspace and registration is required through the New York State Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (COELIG).
