The Dance Now Club was formed in Fall 2013 as the umbrella organization for all of the pre-existing dance clubs. The purpose of Dance Now is to bring the dance interests of the individual clubs mentioned above together as a collective organization.

The Baker Student Committee is a collection of theatre students with the purpose of building connections and conversations between the staff and students. Their goal is to hear student and faculty needs and communicate them appropriately. They also run events and theatrical productions related to uniting the department.

Through free, one-on-one music lessons, this group nurtures meaningful relationships between Hunter College student mentors and underserved students in public schools based on a shared love of music and learning. The program aims to build a foundation of confidence, creativity, and self-discipline to create successful individuals.

Music is Medicine is a community of student-musicians interested in healthcare and community service. Members sing or play an instrument for patients in New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. Performing for patients is a highly rewarding experience; music is known to reduce patient stress while brightening the hospital atmosphere. For pre-health students, this club serves as a creative outlet outside of the STEM coursework and is a great opportunity to gain clinical experience.

This club showcases the benefits of art both for mental health and for career’s sake. Art is often a hobby used to relieve stress. It can be used to entertain patients and is a recognized form of relief to alleviate tension. For pre-health-related professions, art can also improve diagnosis, train your eye, and improve manual dexterity. No previous art experience is needed. The club welcomes all who wish to relax and make new friends via the usage of different forms of art, all while gaining a new hobby in the process.

The club's purpose is to partner with Knitted Knockers Support Foundation, and members volunteer to knit or crochet breast prosthetics for breast cancer survivors. In addition, the club holds breast cancer workshops to raise awareness and educate members. Lastly, the club hopes to connect with clinics and doctors near Hunter College and supply them with Knitted Knockers for their patients.

The club explores many types of stories and takes into account what students want to read – providing them with the agency necessary to talk about what they love. Gen-K is a K-Pop Dance Cover Team that establishes a community for individuals with a passion for K-Pop choreography. Members will have the opportunity to collaborate on learning and filming multiple K-Pop dance covers throughout the semester. The team represents Hunter College in on and off-campus events, competitions, and performances.

This group encourages everyone, both dancers and non-dancers, to learn and participate in performing South Asian dance. These concentrate on regions such as Mumbai, Dhaka, Sylhet, and Kolkata, as well as styles like classical, folk, manipuri, etcetera. The club promotes inclusivity by being no-cut, meaning one does not need to audition to be a part of the club. To be an official member or to perform at an event, one must have attended at least three dance workshop sessions.
