Dia Art Foundation

Dia Art Foundation was founded in 1974 to help artists achieve projects without the limitations of scale or scope. Dia’s Chelsea location offers free entry to the public, and it is home to temporary exhibitions, performances, lectures, and readings. Its work focuses primarily on contemporary art and collection of work of a group of artists from the 1960s and 1970s. Dia also has a gallery in Beacon, New York, just an 80-minute Metro-North Railroad train ride away.
