As a AVP for Finance and Business Operations, Justin oversees a team of more than 50 staff, managing critical financial functions of the college. Justin is responsible for the college’s comprehensive financial plan, and collaborating with Deans, the President’s office, and external partners to ensure fiscal solvency at both macro and granular levels.
Before joining Hunter College, Justin held key roles at NYC’s Children Services, Health and Hospitals, Human Resources Administration, and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). At these organizations, Justin spearheaded complex contract management (including the NYC UPK initiative), built budgets from the ground up, conducted high-level quantitative analyses, and produced detailed reports on spending, headcount, and funding.
Logical and systematic by nature, Justin approaches challenges with clarity, accuracy, and a touch of humor, enabling connection and driving synthesis. Justin is deeply committed to fostering strong relationships and driving impactful results through personal responsibility and team collaboration.
