Title: Research Speaker Series: Sun Young (Sunny) Chung
Description: Join us for our inaugural research speaker series. Sunny Chung is a Hunter College alumnus, working in the lab of the award-winning scientist, Dr. Lorenz Studer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She has been doing neuroscience research since high school and has worked in several labs studying neurological diseases. In her current role, she has published several papers elucidating the mechanisms of Parkinson's disease using embryonic and induced/patient-derived stem cells. Prior to working at MSKCC, she studied Alzheimer's disease at Weill Cornell and completed a summer research internship at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
