Pre-Health Group Advising
unter Pre-health advisers will hold a group advising sessions for students with pre-health questions. This session will be held in a classroom setting and will allow students to collectively ask questions of the pre-health advising team and to learn from their pre-health peers. All are welcome, especially first-year students!
Psychological First Aid Workshop
The workshop enables participants to provide basic care, comfort, and support to people who are experiencing distress. The workshop introduces the principles of psychological first aid. Participants engage in practice exercises. This workshop is essential for students volunteering in hospitals and clinical settings.
How to succeed in Biology, Chemistry and Physics courses at Hunter
Join us for a panel discussion with current undergraduates and Post Bacc students who will share tips and techniques for success in Biology, Chemistry and Physics courses. Pre-Health students must achieve a grade of B or better in all science courses in order to be considered strong applicants. This panel discussion is strongly recommended for new freshmen, transfer and Post Baccs students.
Peer Health Exchange Volunteering Information Session
The Peer Health Exchange’s mission is to give teenagers the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions. The Peer Health Exchange trains college students to teach a health curriculum in low-income high schools that lack comprehensive health education. This is a great community service activity and the Peer Health Exchange program offers opportunities for personal and professional growth. It is also a great way to help you build your Pre-Health Portfolio. Join us to learn about how you can become a Peer Health Educator.
