Come present your research!

Hunter College is pleased to announce our Undergraduate STEM+ Research Conference. This year's conference will provide a forum for Hunter undergraduates to present their research via poster. While STEM fields are the focus of the conference, students from other disciplines are welcome to submit proposals. The conference will include a panel on pursuing research opportunities and awards honoring the best student posters.

Abstracts Are No Longer Being Accepted

GUIDELINES:

• A Hunter undergraduate student must be an author on the abstract and poster. (Abstracts may have multiple authors.)
• Participation is encouraged from students in STEM and other disciplines from across campus.
• Abstracts should be 250 words or less.  You are encouraged to work with your faculty supervisor to develop your abstract and poster. Faculty will be required to confirm their support as part of your submission.
• Poster preparation guidelines and printing instructions will be emailed to students with accepted abstracts.
  
• In addition, the  Skirball Science Learning Center (on the 7th Floor of the Library) will be hosting workshops to support your efforts. Look for more information soon about these events:

POSTER-MAKING GUIDANCE: Your poster should have a "landscape" orientation -- wider than it is tall -- and measure 48" wide x 36" tall

     You can use the template linked below.

POSTER TEMPLATE

Preparing your poster for printing: Adust size (tools -> size) to 47W x 35.98H (inches)
     Be sure to have a RESOLUTION of at least 150 dpi (pixels / inch)

If Hunter is printing your poster for you:

a.          Save two copies: one as a .png, and one as a .pdf.   

b.          Name the files with this format:

                                                                                              i.         YourLastName_YourFirstName_ResearchCategory.png

                                                                                           ii.         YourLastName_YourFirstName_ResearchCategory.pdf

c.          For Research Category, choose from: Biology; Biochem; Chemistry; CompSci; Econ; Envir; History; HumBio; Math; Philosophy; Physics; Psych; or Stats.

d.          Upload both the png & pdf versions to this Dropbox Folder by 8 pm on April 1.
