About Housing at Hunter
For the 2026–2027 academic year, Hunter College is offering a range of unit types and price points at 51st Street and 79th Street residence locations. We encourage you to review our options to help you determine the best fit for your needs if you choose to apply for housing.
Both housing locations are operated by Found Study and offer distinct living experiences. While the options differ in layout and style, each location is available to Hunter College students at a reduced rate. We strongly encourage students to explore both options to determine which best suits their preferences and lifestyle.
51st Street Residence offers a traditional residence hall experience with regular community programming, sharing spaces, and wide range of building amenities. This location may appeal to students who are interested in a more social and structured residential environment.
79th Street Residence features open-concept, apartment style housing that may be a good fit for students who prefer a more independent living experience within a shared apartment setting.
Housing offers are made on an annual basis, and students must reapply each year for consideration. While housing cannot be guaranteed for all years of enrollment, students are encouraged to remain engaged with the application process each year to maximize their chances of securing housing.
