My Story
The person who has played the most significant role in helping me become who I am today is my mom. She is my role model. As a single mother, she raised me with strength, resilience, and unconditional support, never once allowing me to doubt my potential. She taught me that I never needed to depend on anyone else to reach my goals.
Whenever I felt overwhelmed by school or work, she was always there to reassure me, reminding me that everything would be okay. She has been my number one supporter and instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility from a very young age. Having her by my side throughout every stage of my life motivates me to continue pushing forward. I know I cannot stop my journey now - I strive for success not only for myself, but for the both of us.
By pursuing a career in nursing, I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through my time volunteering in a hospital, I witnessed firsthand the powerful impact nurses have on patients’ well-being and recovery. I also experienced this impact personally when a loved one was hospitalized after a traumatic accident. During his long stay, he struggled with depression and anxiety, but the compassion, motivation, and care provided by the nurses became a turning point in his healing process.
I am forever grateful to those nurses who were there when I could not be. Their dedication inspired me to follow this path, and I hope to become a nurse who offers every patient the same comfort, support, and reassurance during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
