IICD Summer Research Program for Undergraduates 
Accepting Applications until February 1st, 2023

The Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics (IICD) at Columbia University offers a 10-weeks research opportunity for talented undergraduate students from the NYC area to perform cutting-edge research at the intersection of cancer research and mathematical sciences. Areas of research span from cancer biology to mathematics, computer science, statistical bioinformatics, engineering, and more. The 2023 IICD Summer Research Program will tentatively operate from May 30th to August 4th, 2023*.

Benefits for Summer Interns:
- 10-weeks research experience
- Weekly seminars and professional development events

- A stipend of $6000 and reimbursement commuting expenses (up to $300). Note that housing is not provided.


 Eligibility:
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Be an undergraduate in the Fall 2023
- Open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors

- Majors: mathematics, computer science, computational biology, statistics, biology, data science, engineering, etc.


Application Deadline: February 1st, 2023 (11:59 PM EST)
Program Dates (Tentative): May 30th - August 4th, 2023*

*Dates are subject to change and will be confirmed closer to the beginning of the program. We are currently planning for an in-person program. However, the program may be held virtually or hybrid depending on the situation with COVID-19 and university protocols.
