NYCEDC is excited to announce our newest program – the Future Innovators in Real Estate (FIRE) Fellowship!

The FIRE Fellowship will be a paid 16-month multidisciplinary training program that aims to prepare the next generation of talented professionals for careers in real estate development in New York City and to develop a pipeline of diverse participants reflective of the communities we impact. We will be partnering exclusively with CUNY and SUNY programs to identify qualified candidates who have graduated from an undergraduate program within the past 1-2 years.

For our pilot program, we’ll be hosting four fellows who will rotate across Asset Management, Neighborhood Strategies, Real Estate Transaction Services, and the Strategic Investments Group. Our teams will provide fellows with on-the-job training to further develop the skills and knowledge needed for success at EDC and beyond. Fellows will also participate in robust educational and professional development offerings including speaker series, mentorship programs, industry events, capstone projects, and more!  

Please join us for our first virtual Informational Session held on Wednesday, May 24th at 6:00-6:45PM. Our HR team will present an overview of the program, participating departments will speak about their work, and there will be a Q&A session to wrap up.
