Who is invited to attend?
ALL Hunter College students, faculty, alumni, staff, friends, and members of the broader community are invited to attend any and/or all events taking place at the conference.
Will there be food at the conference?
Lunch will be served.
Does Hunter have any resources to help me prepare for my conference presentation?
See the main of the conference website for presentation tips and events hosted by the Skirball Science Learning Center.
Do I have to register ahead of time?
It is recommended that you register ahead of time so you can be guaranteed conference materials and a name tag. The registration site is forthcoming.
Can I just attend one session or event during the conference?
Yes – conference attendees are welcome to join any, or all, parts of the conference!
My research was conducted outside of Hunter. Can I still present this work at the conference?
Yes – but make sure a Hunter faculty member approves your abstract submission, even if they were not a primary mentor on the project . Faculty can click here to approve a project
Should I spread the word about this conference to my classmates, peers, and friends and invite them to attend?
YES!
Where is the Conference taking place?
The conference will be held in Hunter’s West Building, 3rd floor glass cafeteria.
Will there be food at the conference?
Yes!
What is the cost of the conference?
There is no cost, the conference is FREE.
How can I volunteer to help with the conference or participate in a panel?
You can contact msteiper@hunter.cuny.edu and ask about volunteer opportunities.
Can I submit more than one abstract?
Yes! Subject to scheduling availability, we will do our best to accommodate multiple student presentations. If you would like to present more than one presentation, please submit separate proposals for each one.
If I have submitted my abstract to another conference, can I submit the same abstract to this conference?
Yes - this opportunity to present your work to a new audience and/or adapt work that you have presented elsewhere with updated content or in a different format.
When will students receive notification about their abstract submissions?
All students who have submitted abstracts will be notified by early April.
What dimensions should my poster be?
Details will follow about the specific poster guidelines for the conference.
When should I arrive at the conference?
Details will follow about the specific schedule of the conference.
Can I leave early?
Please make an effort to stay for the entire 90 minutes of your session if not for the entire conference.
