Dr. Markus Bidell Wins 2014-2015 Fulbright Regent’s University Scholar Award

Congratulations to Dr. Markus Bidell, Associate Professor of Counseling at Hunter College and Director of the LGBT Social Science and Public Policy Center at Roosevelt House, on winning a coveted Fulbright Regent's University Scholar Award for 2014-2015.

Dr. Bidell will spend the year at Regent's University in London. There, he will initiate a collaborative teaching and research program with his host, Prof Martin Milton, at the Regent's School of Psychotherapy and Psychology. The research program addresses pressing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender mental health disparities. In addition, Dr. Bidell will lecture and collect data throughout the UK, including at the University of Birmingham, Newman University, and the National Health Services in Scotland.

The Fulbright Regent's University Scholar Award is offered to a single person each year by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, whose members are appointed by the President of the United States.
