Office of Communications

The Office of Communications is responsible for developing and disseminating the official messages of Hunter College to internal and external audiences, and for gathering the most news-worthy stories from around campus. Our office oversees the following areas:

  • Communications: We keep the community informed about all major events and news stories, provide support for many campus programs and initiatives, and assist individual departments with their communication needs.
  • Media Relations: We provide direct access to our faculty experts, and put the media in touch with the professionals they require. We respond to the press regarding stories about Hunter College, handle crisis communication, and issue press releases on behalf of the College.
  • Publications: Our At Hunter publications keep the Hunter community up-to-date. We feature the top news stories, highlight student and faculty achievements, discuss recent events, promote new initiatives, and honor our alumni.
  • Marketing and Advertising: We utilize industry-standard marketing techniques and develop creative content in order to spread the word about Hunter. We also work with individual departments to increase the visibility of their programs and research.
