President Obama meets with Hunter Alumnus and "DREAMer” Rishi Singh (BA ’08, BS ’13)

On February 4, President Obama met six DREAMers in the Oval Office to discuss how they have benefited from the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Among those in attendance was Hunter alumnus Rishi Singh (BA '08, BS '13), who graduated with degrees in Psychology and Accounting. He is an organizer for the DRUM-South Asian Organizing Center in Jackson Heights, Queens.

"We know the work is not done. We fought to get the most recent executive action and will continue to fight so all of our people are able to come out of the shadows and continue to live and work in dignity," Singh told NBC News following the meeting.
