Hunter College Golden Key Chapter Inducts President Raab as Honorary Member

Hunter College's chapter of the Golden Key international honor society will induct President Jennifer J. Raab and three other honorary members during a ceremony on Friday, April 11, 2003.

City Councilwoman Gale A. Brewer, Vice President for Student Affairs Eija Ayravainen and Hunter Urban Affairs Professor Jill Gross will also be inducted as honorary members.  They will be presented with a lifetime membership certificate during the ceremony in the college's Assembly Hall at 7 p.m.  In addition, more than 100 new members will be inducted to the honor society.

Professor Gross will also be the new academic advisor of Hunter's Golden Key chapter.  Kevin Keenan, coordinator for external affairs and communications at Hunter College, is the new staff advisor.

The current officers for the Hunter chapter of Golden Key are Jennifer Min, president; Miroslava Ceschi, vice-president; David Shifren, treasurer; Kathleen Ensor, corresponding secretary; Jean Banton, public relations director; and Mohamed Haroun, historian.

Golden Key is an international honor society with chapters at 332 colleges and universities in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.  The Society recognizes only the highest-achieving students at select universities worldwide; placing students among an exclusive group distinguished by their academic accomplishments.
