Zagoria's most recent book is "Breaking the Impasse
Between China and Taiwan," (Greenwood, 2003). Prof.
Zagoria has written or edited four books and written more
than 300 articles in refereed, professional journals on
Asian security issues and relations among the great powers.
His book on the Sino-Soviet Conflict, published in 1962,
is generally recognized as the seminal work on one of the
key turning points in the Cold War--the split between Moscow
and Beijing. In recent years Prof. Zagoria has written widely
on U.S.-China relations. And for the past seven years he
has been directing a highly acclaimed Track II dialogue
on Asian hot spots, including Taiwan and North Korea, which
has been supported by the Ford Foundation, the Carnegie
Foundation, and the Smith Richardson Foundation. This initiative
has been carried out under the auspices of The National
Committee on American Foreign Policy.
