CIE Career Readiness Program for Economics Majors

The CIE Career Readiness Program is designed to help Economics majors achieve career success through professional development workshops, employer events and one-on-one advising.

Designed for students who want to explore career options and gain valuable professional experience, the CIE program will enhance your competitiveness for future professional goals.

By joining the program, you will gain access to a dedicated Economics Career and Academic Advisor. Through targeted workshops, working groups, online guides, and one-on-one coaching sessions, the Advisor will help you to:

Session 1: Career Pathways in Clean Energy

This session will help you envision your place in the clean energy transition and give you actionable guidance on how to enter and grow within this fast-evolving field.

Session 2: Understanding the Clean Energy Landscape in NYC

Gain a real-world perspective on NYC’s clean energy policies and how they align with national trends. Through case studies and data-driven insights, you’ll see how classroom concepts connect to real industry challenges β€” and leave better prepared for interviews and future opportunities.

This event is co-hosted by Latinxs in Sustainability (LiS) which is a New York City–based nonprofit working to increase Latinx representation in environmental and climate fields.
