MFA Playwrighting Alum Lindsey Ferrentino's New Play Gets Rave Review in NY Times

Lindsey Ferrentino, an alumna of Hunter's Playwrighting MFA Program, received a rave review in the NY Times recently for her play, Ugly Lies the Bone, which looks at the life 'of a severely wounded war veteran attempting to put together a new life.' In the Times' review, Christopher Isherwood calls Ms. Ferrentino 'a writer of dauntless conviction,' adding that '...this bracing drama...confronts an achingly topical issue with hardheaded honesty and admirable compassion.' The play, which runs through November 22 at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for the Theater, came up through the 'Roundabout Underground,' a program of the Roundabout Theatre which fosters new works by emerging theatre artists.
