Professor Milagros Denis-Rosario Featured as Guest Co-Editor of "Memorias"

Professor Milagros Denis-Rosario, of the Department of Africana and Puerto Rican/Latino Studies, recently served as co-editor of a special volume of the digital journal of history and archaeology Memorias (Uninorte University, Barranquilla, Colombia)http://rcientificas.uninorte.edu.co/index.php/memorias/issue/view/419/showToc; together with co-editor Professor Edward Paulino, of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Dr. Denis-Rosario introduced the dossier “De-constructing the Dominican Nation: Challenging de-nationalization, waving the national identity,”  which deals with the current conflict in the Dominican Republic concerning the deportation of a quarter million of Dominicans of Haitian ancestry to Haiti.  The Dominican Studies Institute (City College) collaborated in the project with a bibliography.
