Professor Thompson's New Show, 'Washeteria,' Reviewed in NY Times
"'Washeteria,'" according to a review in The New York Times, "is the loopy creation of the terrific set designer Louisa Thompson, who developed it with the directors Sarah Benson and Adrienne Kapstein and the students of Brooklyn Arbor P.S. 414." Professor Thompson teaches in Hunter's Theatre Department. 'Washeteria' (a NYT Critics' Pick) is Soho Rep's first all-ages play, and is staged in a formerly vacant storefront in South Williamsburg. The reviewer, who called the play "a lightly absurdist take on a laundromat," hailed it for its "untidy magic." “Washeteria” continues through Sunday April 5 at 321 Broadway, South Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
