Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College combines the close-knit community of a small college with the vast resources of a major research university.

Scholars receive individualized mentoring by distinguished faculty members and dedicated academic advisors. Macaulay seminars allow our students enriching opportunities to work and learn together while they develop a deeper understanding of New York's rich cultural and intellectual history.

Macaulay Honors College requires students to complete either an internship and/or a study abroad program. Internships enable our students to have hands-on experience in various work environments before graduation. Study abroad experiences allow our students to extend their course work and pursue primary research while gaining a wider perspective in their chosen fields of study.
