In collaboration with the Department of Chemistry of Hunter College, we will be welcoming Dr. Ada E. Yonath, the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. She was the principal crystallographer on the team that studied the structure and function of the ribosome. For those who are very interested in the science of the presentation, you can watch her Nobel Lecture and attend her scientific seminar immediately after her talk with you.
Out of respect for our guest, pizza will be provided from 1PM to 1:30PM to allow for consumption, digestion, and your fullest attention. She plans to discuss her life in the sciences.
