- Priority given to: Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, transfers, out-of-state, and international students
- Seniors, Graduate students may apply and will be considered if space is available
- Singles and Large Doubles are limited; priority given to returning residents. Applicants are not guaranteed their first choice.
- Deluxe rooms are not larger in size; the designation indicates that the unit includes a kitchenette counter (burner, microwave, and sink).
- Room sizes are approximate and vary slightly by unit. Average square footage reflects the entire unit, including bed spaces, bathroom, and kitchenette (if applicable).
- Open to all Hunter College Juniors, Seniors, Graduates who meet housing eligibility. Sophomores may be considered if there is availability. Freshmen are not housed at 79th.
- Apartments are open-concept, fully shared units housing 3–6 residents
- All housing rates are per individual student
- No single rooms or private bed spaces are available
- Apartment layouts vary and are assigned based on availability.
- Requests for specific units or layouts cannot be accommodated
