Who we are: Friends of Dag Hammarksjold Plaza is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community organization dedicated to the preservation, beautification and vitality of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza
What we offer: The curated internship with a public park is designed to offer you valuable opportunities to deepen your understanding of research methods, psychology and civic engagement through hands-on experience. Parks provide a rich contest to explore Environmental Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Health & Wellness Psychology, Social and Developmental Psychology. We have curated projects and readings for you that are available once you register. You will also have opportunity to explore topics related to urban planning, sustainability, public health, design thinking and even entrepreneurship. Let's make the most of what our urban-park classroom in the heart of Midtown has to offer!
Expectations: This will be outlined in your contract. You will be free Saturday from 10am -12 and available to meet at the plaza for Spring Semester. You will have some flexibility in terms of hours and projects.
Preferred Qualifications: An OPEN-MIND and desire to LEARN, GROW, and CONNECT. Tell us something about your background and skills and we will fit you with the best project and help you develop new transferrable skills. A meeting at the park or on zoom will be announced to answer all of your questions.
Target start date: Spring Semester. Register BEFORE November 24, 2025 with Professor Skoler (201 or 395)

Write your year of graduation in text and that you are available SPRING semester Saturdays during the semester 10-12. Professor will send you a contract.
Who we are: Laboratory of cultural evolution and vocal learning
What we offer:
1. Computational social science research: VR online experiments in collective creativity and collective governance
2. Computational animal behavior research: remote VR experiments in songbirds
Expectations: Experiments are time consuming and require learning new quantitative and data analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants should have good quantitative skills, computer skills (e.g. Python programing) and coding experience.

Requirements:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Excellence in relevant coursework (e.g., psychology, public health, behavioral medicine, research methods, or statistics).
- Hunter College undergraduate; sophomore or above.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or a non-citizen national.
