Hunter Mourns the Passing of Professor Timothy Lackaye

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our longtime friend and colleague, Professor Timothy Lackaye from the Department of Special Education.

Tim joined the Hunter College faculty in 1987 as an adjunct professor, becoming a full-time professor in 2001. Over time he served as a program coordinator and as chair of the Department of Special Education. He taught and advised countless students over his 30 years of service, students who are now special educators throughout New York City and beyond. He has made significant contributions to the education community, and his passing is a loss for all of us.
Please see below for information regarding arrangements.
With warm regards,
Jennifer J. Raab
