Professor Gustavo Mercado’s feature film "Saturnalia" wins multiple awards at summer film festivals
Professor Gustavo Mercado's feature Saturnalia, made with an all-student crew from the Department of Film & Media Studies, won multiple awards during its initial run at film festivals this summer. Written, directed, edited and shot by Professor Mercado, Saturnalia is based on the true story of a homeless woman who managed to sneak into and secretly occupy a closet in a man's house for almost a year before she was discovered.
Saturnalia was also recently announced as an official selection of the 2013 Cincinnati Film Festival.
