Scholarships & Grants

Finding scholarships as an international student can be challenging, but a wide range of opportunities is available across various fields and levels of study. Applicants should carefully review eligibility requirements and application guidelines to determine which scholarships are appropriate. It is also recommended to explore organizations and foundations related to your field of study, as well as those associated with your country of origin, ethnicity, or gender. Some scholarship deadlines have been extended, so all deadlines and requirements should be verified before submission.

This scholarship offers a series of programs designed to help students manage their educational loans and prepare for long-term financial stability within the medical field.

Scholarships and grants are available for graduate students pursuing studies in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or Audiology. Additional Opportunities

The fellowship is designed for individuals interested in artistic and technical production, arts administration, and community engagement. It provides a modest stipend and seeks to increase the participation of people of color in the arts. Recent graduates and career changers are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position, and applicants who are currently enrolled in school are not eligible.

The Amity Institute Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate international students with the opportunity to teach their native language and culture in American elementary and secondary schools, as well as in colleges and universities. Students in the fields of American Studies/Civilization, English Language and Literature, or Education are eligible to apply. The program is open to unmarried students between the ages of 20 and 30. Awards include tuition, living expenses, and stipend. Through this teaching exchange, the Amity Institute aims to build international friendships and foster cultural understanding.

This opportunity is for students who are currently enrolled or will be enrolled as matriculated students in a CUNY graduate program and who have earned a bachelor’s degree from a CUNY college. Selected students will work 15–20 hours per week at a CUNY college and will be eligible for a tuition waiver of up to six credits per semester.

The De Karman Fellowships are open to students in any discipline, including international students, who are currently enrolled in a university or college in the United States. Approximately eight fellowships will be awarded for the regular academic year, with amounts of $22,000 for graduate students and $14,000 for undergraduate students. The fellowship is paid through the university’s fellowship office where the recipient is enrolled and covers study in the United States. The fellowship is for one academic year, may not be renewed, and is highly competitive. In addition, there are PhD scholarships for women and other scholarships available for doctoral students.

The Josephine de Karman Fellowship Trust was established in 1954 by Dr. Theodore von Kármán, a world-renowned aeronautics expert, teacher, and the first director of the Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology, in memory of his sister Josephine. The fellowship aims to recognize and support students whose scholastic achievements exemplify Professor von Kármán’s high standards.
