What is the repository and how do I use it?
The Repository is a special folder residing at the top-level of your WebCMS subsite which contains all of your images and other files. It is not possible to upload images or files to any other location within your subsite.
Within the Repository, you'll find two folders: Images and Files.
The Images folder is where you can upload all of your photos and graphics in .jpg, .gif or .png format.
The Files folder is where you can upload all of your non-image files, including PDFs, Microsoft Word documents (.doc and .docx), Excel spreadsheets (.xls and .xlsx), and PowerPoint slides (.ppt and .pptx).
Using a central Repository to store all of your images and other files ensures that everyone in your department or office knows where to look for these materials when they need them. In addition, the WebCMS stores files and images in a different way than web page content, so the CMS was designed to make this distinction clear.
To use the Repository, simply upload images or files into their respective folders and then you can link to these items from other pages and locations in your subsite.
You can access your Repository by navigating to the homepage of your subsite and then clicking on the Contents tab. Your Repository will be listed along with the rest of your items in the contents table.
