The Communications Office developed the Hunter College Style Guide in 2010 to assist you with writing content for the web.
All staff managers and content editors are asked to abide by these style guidelines in order to ensure correctness and consistency in punctuation, spelling and grammar; establish standards for clear and consistent writing; send a professional message to readers; and to ensure a unified brand and web presence.
The guide addresses common issues such as grammar, spelling of academic and College-specific terms, Hunter branding, graphic and photo standards, and best practices for writing for the web.
