How do I activate my NetID for the WebCMS?
Each subsite within the WebCMS is self-managed by one or more members of the controlling unit. These members, called Staff Managers, have the ability to add and remove other users from their subsite.
Staff Managers' NetIDs are activated when their subsite is first created.
All other users must contact their site's Staff Manager(s) in order to activate their NetID. The Staff Manager(s) will then contact the Web Development Group and request activation for these users.
If you have used the WebCMS before, you do not need to re-activate your NetID in order to be assigned roles in a new subsite. Your initial activation is one-time and CMS-wide.
Note: Activation allows you to log in to the WebCMS, but it does not automatically give you permission to modify content. Your Staff Manager must manually assign you roles within a subsite before you will have access to it.
