What is an Image Map?

When an image has been designed with an "image map," one or more specific areas of the image are "live" or linked to a Web page or file. This can be very helpful to your reader when you display a map, game, or similar visual information on a web page. Pass your mouse over the doorway below, and you will see the link information.

Creating an Image Map

An image map can be added to any image in DreamWeaver or Illustrator. But unless you have expertise in those programs, get assistance for this project.
