Spring 2021

NEW! - REVIEW SESSIONS

We will be holding review sessions for Math 102, Stat 113/213, and Math 150. You can join the review sessions by clicking on the tutoring link below, but be sure to tell Circulation you're there to attend a review session. See our schedule below.

DROP-IN/TABLE TUTORING

We offer group tutoring on a first-come-first-served basis. Meaning, there are no appointments. Tutoring will be held on Zoom. You will need to provide some information before you can receive tutoring the first time (and only the first time) you arrive for the semester. Within the next few days after you came for tutoring, you will receive a survey* asking to evaluate your tutoring experience.

You are welcome to come to the virtual DMLC during the hours we are not offering tutoring for your course to study with other students! Additionally, if a tutor is available from another course, they will be able to assist you.

When you enter the meeting please type in chat what course you would like to receive tutoring for even if you verbally tell the Circulation Assistant what course you're here for. You MUST do this every time you come for tutoring. Click here to join the tutoring meeting.

We're using Scribblar for our online tutoring. Simply email mthtutor@hunter.cuny.edu during the hours indicated below and tell us which subject or course you need assistance with. We'll then reply with a link and the password to the tutoring room, where you can choose to communicate by speaking through your microphone or typing in the chat box-- it's up to you. Please note that our record-keeping and funding opportunities are based on the number of students who use our services, so please email us each time you want assistance so that we can keep track of every student we service. Just as with on-site tutoring, the tutor will assist as soon as possible and will work with a small group, so it's best if your questions are prepared in advance. If there are large groups, we may ask that you sign out after one hour and return later. The next day, you will receive an email asking you to evaluate the tutoring session*.

*Please fill out the evaluation form for every tutoring session you attend so that we can further improve our services. Thank you.

Check the website frequently as more hours may be added budget permitting.

Students are free to form study groups in the Center ANYTIME THAT THE CENTER IS OPEN and work together.

Tutoring in the Center is open to any student in the College, regardless of the course you are taking. Tables are arranged according to subjects; for example, Algebra tutoring is for students taking MATH 101 (Algebra for College Students) AND any student needing assistance in Algebra; Precalculus tutoring is for students taking MATH 125 (Precalculus) and any student needing assistance in Precalculus, etc.

Look for the letter that corresponds to your class. Each time slot that has that letter means there is a tutor available during that time.

NOTE: These hours will begin February 3rd.
