Steven L. Baumann is a professor of nursing at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). In addition to having a BSN in nursing, MS in psychiatric nursing and in gerontological nurse practitioner, and a PhD in nursing, he is an ANCC-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. He has been the global perspectives column editor for Nursing Science Quarterly since 2005. On the faculty of the School of Nursing since 1990 and the Graduate Center of CUNY since 2006, he is a NP in behavioral health at Sun River Health in the Bronx. He is married and the father of two daughters.
