Introduction to Logic & Critical Thinking

This course will focus on the recognition of arguments and argument structure, fallacies, and classical syllogisms.  Basic symbolic logic will be introduced as a tool for understanding the practical use of logic in everyday affairs, although this is not a course in symbolic logic.  Finally, the logical structure of scientific reasoning, including induction and abduction, will be covered.
