NEW STUDENTS ORIENTATION
New international students, both undergraduate and graduate are encouraged to attend a new international student orientation session during their first semester of attendance. These orientations will familiarize students with their privileges and rights enjoyed by international students in the United States ;Additionally, Academic Advisors will discuss the registration and academic advising process.
Other topics covered include
- Obtaining health insurance at an affordable price in accordance with the Affordable Care Act
- Employment options available to International Students in the US
- Social activities made available to International Students by non-profit organizations, especially One-to-World
- Meet other international students
Following below are tentative dates for orientations:
Wednesdays: January 15 in room # 506 HW and January 22 from 1:30 pm -3:30 pm in room # 605 HW
and Thursday, January 30 at 4:30 pm-6:30 pm , room : TBA.
Soon students interested will be able to RSVP at (Machform) for one of the available dates. Seats will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. In the meantime, please chack back for mor inforamtion about the room are send an e-mail inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Students are encouraged to bring copies of their I-20, Passport, Visa and the Arrival stamp in their passport, as well as a copy of change of status approval, if applicable. These documents wll enable to Office to answer individual questions quickly and accurately. In addition, any undergraduate students who have already registered for classes are encouraged to bring a copy of their schedule to assist academic advisors in their advising.
