Special Programs & Partnerships
Hunter College has entered into contractual agreements with external institutions to offer special programs and partnerships to our most accomplished students. Each of our special programs and partnerships have different agreements that specify rules and regulations that Hunter College must comply with to be in compliance with our contractual agreements. As such, we cannot make exceptions for applicants who do not meet the criteria for program participation.
Please check the Pre-Health website and watch for emails from the Hunter College Pre-Med Listserv for details about program openings, requirements and deadlines. Do feel free to query your Pre-Health Advisor regarding programs that peak your interest.
Early Assurance for Hunter College Undergraduates
Early Assurance programs allow Hunter College Pre-Health students in any major to apply for early assurance of acceptance into a medical school without the stresses and expense of applying to multiple medical colleges during their final year of undergraduate study.
If a student is accepted into an early assurance program, the student is contractually expected to matriculate at that medical school. If the student chooses to reject the offer and apply broadly to medical schools, the Pre-Health Office will not support an applicant who defaults on their early assurance agreement and who seeks to apply to another or multiple other medical schools.

Certain medical schools offer early assurance programs to all students, regardless of institution, who meet their program requirements.
