Description: The experiences and personal statement sections bridge the gap between a description of you as a scientist-humanitarian and the analytics provided by the admission test and academic institutions. Your target institution needs to affirm your intellectual and temperament preparedness for the investment that they will make in you. Your academics tell the story of your intellectual journey. Your experiences and personal essay are a window into your non-academic mindset. This workshop aims to help you to organize, write and present your many achievements, your reason for pursuing a career in healthcare and to explain and minimize any flaws that may exist in your applicant profile. This workshop is required for Committee Letter and Letter Packet applicants.

Description: This workshop will cover everything you need to know about writing your secondary essays for medical, dental, vet, or other health profession applications, including: Why secondary essays are a critical component of your health profession application, •A review of common secondary essay questions, • Tips for how to write effective secondary essays, •Tips for what to avoid in writing your secondary essays, •Organizing the completion of your secondary essays, and •The timing for submitting your secondary essays. Sample secondary essays will be reviewed and copies will be available.
