Title: Suturing 101 for Pre-Health Students
Description: Come and learn how to suture. The term “suture” is used to refer both to a specific technique for closing a wound, in which the sides of the wound are stitched together, and to the individual stitches involved in the wound closure.

Description: Getting to know Hunter College faculty is important for advising purposes, mentorship and letters of recommendation. Title: Stress Management for Pre-Health Students
Description: As a pre-health student, stress is an unavoidable part of life. Academics, volunteer hours, extracurricular activities—it all adds up. Unfortunately, many students don’t manage stress well—and struggle as a result. While stress can’t be completely avoided, this workshop will teach you how to reduce stress and anxiety. This workshop is a required workshop for new Pre-Health students. This workshop is also strongly recommended for students who are struggling academically or who are applicants in the current health professions graduate school admissions cycle.

Title: Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children Information Session
Description: FIMRC is a non-profit organization that strives to bring improved healthcare to communities around the world. The campus representative of Hunter College (volunteered in Costa Rica, January 2019) will speak about this mission and how students can get involved. This is a great opportunity to learn about public health volunteering that can be done throughout the year for any amount of time in various countries. Come learn about how you can experience helping in a clinic in order to provide access to quality healthcare and educate community members on preventative measures. Hope to see you there!
