Janette Gomos Klein, Ph.D. is the co-director of the Yalow Scholar Program and faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences at Hunter College. She serves as a lecturer and course coordinator in several courses within the department while promoting student engagement and success in science careers. Professor Gomos Klein graduated from The Ohio State University (BS, Molecular Biology and Microbiology) and received her doctorate from the Graduate Center of CUNY (Biology) with a focus on gene regulation and immunology. Her previous published work spans a variety of disciplines in physiology, genetics, and science education. Professor Gomos Klein is a contributing author and reviewer to the most widely used Microbiology for non-majors text in the nation.
