Join us for our first in-person speaker event this semester with Professor Reis!
Dr. Reis is a member of the Ethics Committee at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital and an editor of nursingclio.org, a collaborative online journal that focuses on the intersection of gender, history, and medicine.
According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, intersex individuals “do not fit typical binary notions of male or female
bodies.” Learn how to navigate intersex individuals in our healthcare environment and how healthcare systems are changing protocols to better serve intersex communities.
Come voice your opinions, hear those of other students, and apply your perspective to real-world problems.
Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
