Networking with Hunter College Science Faculty with Dr. Samantha Sheppard- Lahiji
Getting to know Hunter College faculty is important for advising purposes, mentorship and letters of recommendations. This is a great opportunity for you to network with faculty beyond office hours and lectures. Join us for an engaging talk with Hunter College Biology professor Dr. Samantha Sheppard- Lahiji. Dr. Samantha Sheppard- Lahiji was raised in New York. She received her BS from John Jay College Criminal Justice where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Forensic Science (concentration in Molecular Biology). She earned her Ph.D. in Cellular Biology from City University of New York Graduate Center at Hunter College and completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center. At Memorial- Sloan Kettering she focused on standardizing quantitative assay to measure DNA repair in human cells. Dr. Samantha Sheppard- Lahiji has taught classes at Hunter since 2006 and became a teaching faculty in 2017.
