Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) and NERA MedPrep Application Workshop
The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) formerly known as SMDEP is a free summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions. SHPEP’s goal is to strengthen the academic proficiency and career development of students interested in the health professions and prepare them for a successful application and matriculation to health professions schools. The Northeast Regional Alliance (NERA) MedPrep Scholars Program is a partnership between New Jersey Medical School, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Center for Multicultural and Community Affairs, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Manhattan Staten Island Area Health Education Center. This workshop will include: - Information about the benefits of SHPEP & NERA MedPrep - Meet past SHPEP& NERA MedPrep participants - A walk-through of the application process.
