Title: The Rockefeller University Science Outreach Program (RockEdu) Information Session
Description: The Rockefeller University Science Outreach Program (RockEdu) is seeking passionate Hunter College students of science to volunteer for their LAB Experience program for middle and high school students. These classes are designed to introduce young men and women to the rigors of basic and translational research science. By sharing this day with undergraduate and graduate students in our relaxed laboratory environment, students are exposed to diverse role models who help present science as an accessible path of study.
Dr. Jeanne Garbarino, Director of Science Outreach
will discuss the program and recruit volunteers.

Title: Weill Cornell Heart 2 Heart Information Session
Description: This will be an informational event about community outreach campaigns and clinical research, such as the Heart 2 Heart(H2H) program. There will be guest speakers from Weill Cornell, including MD-PhD students of various backgrounds and various personnel such as research coordinators. This event will discuss about what community outreach consists of and how these guest speakers have gotten involved in this campaign of public health. The guest speakers will talk about their specialty and their experiences in community outreach and what this will mean for the future of medicine.

Title: University of Rochester Medical School Early Assurance Program Information Session
Description: The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) offers an Early Assurance Program (EAP) to a select group of highly qualified college sophomores who attend Hunter College. The EAP offers a conditional acceptance to URMC following the successful completion of your four-year undergraduate degree.
Academically qualified sophomore undergraduates may apply in May and June following the completion of their sophomore year and will not be required to take the MCAT exam.
•Formal Clerkships begin in March of your 1st year in medical school.
•Home of the Biopsychosocial model – a holistic view of the patient.
•Rochester is in the top 15% of primary care schools that also
rank in the top 25% of research-intensive medical schools.

Title: Hunter College SNMA MAPS-Minority Association of Pre-medical Students Club Meeting
Description: Join Hunter Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) for our monthly meeting. We will be giving advice on how to be successful pre-medical students at Hunter College. Our club has over two decades of experience providing important insight on how students can be successful in their academic, research, shadowing, and MCAT endeavors. We have a history of getting many MAPS students into great medical schools and can provide good advice that will likely benefit your chances of potentially getting into a great medical school."

Title: The Doctor Speaker Series-Dr. Erica Phillips-Caesar
Description: Join us for a discussion with Dr. Erica Phillips,
Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Phillips-Caesar received her medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1998 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. She received a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research in 2003 from Weill Cornell.
Dr. Phillips was one of the founding physicians of the Weight Management Practice at Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
