Language and cognitive function changes in adults with neurological impairments and healthy elderly; Structural and functional brain involvement in normal and abnormal language production; Developing screening and diagnostic tools with eye tracking methods; Effects of speech and language intervention combined with TMS/tDCS and behavioral therapies; Bilingual speech perception and processing

Neurological speech and language disorders and intervention (Aphasia, Dysarthrias, Apraxia of Speech, Parkinson’s disease, Dementia, Voice Disorders); Typical and Atypical Speech Development and Production (e.g., Fluency Disorders, Speech Sound Disorders); Bilingualism/Speech perception and production in contrasting languages.
Dr. JungMoon Hyun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Hunter College. She has been working with cognitively normal elderly and people with neuro-degenerative diseases. Her clinical and research interests include aging and neuroimaging, being the author of a number of articles and national presentations on language, imaging and bilingualism in adults.
Dr. Hyun's professional activities include membership in local, state, and national professional organizations.
