Professor Khatchadourian visits Tokyo Tech for JSPS BRIDGE Fellowship

Professor Raffi Khatchadourian visited Tokyo Tech this past August in his capacity as a BRIDGE Fellow for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Please read on for a brief account from Raffi himself about this fruiful trip:

"Between August 10 to 24, 2022, I visited the Programming Research Group at the Department of Mathematical and Computing Science of the Tokyo Institute of Technology. I gave a seminar talk and discussed current research with the group members. A JSPS BRIDGE fellowship supported this visit, planned initially two years ago. The trip was postponed due to COVID-19 (three times, in fact), but I was happy to have the opportunity to visit Professor Hidehiko Masuhara and his lab."

Experiencing Japan's culture after work: a Japanese baseball game with Professor Masuhara.

It's great to see our faculty forging research connections abroad! The JSPS BRIDGE Fellowship -- developed by JSPS for precisely that purpose -- is awarded to just 50 fellows each year. Congratulations to Raffi for this exciting honor and opportunity to strengthen our faculty's international network.
