Hunter Faculty, Alumni Receive Awards from the Society for Linguistic Anthropology at Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association
At the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association in Minneapolis on November 19, 2016, the Society for Linguistic Anthropology (SLA) awarded prizes to Ana Celia Zentella (former Hunter student and professor, winner of SLA Public Outreach and Community Service Award); Angela Reyes (current Hunter professor, winner of SLA Edward Sapir Book Prize); Alessandra Rosen (current Hunter student, winner of SLA Undergraduate Student Essay Prize); and Emily Corvi (former Hunter student, honorable mention of SLA Undergraduate Student Essay Prize).
