Professor Reiner Leist's 'Window' Exhibited in Berlin in December 2015

In March 1995, Professor Reiner Leist started taking pictures from a window of his New York apartment, located on the 26th floor of a building on 8th Avenue. Leist used his antique largeformat cameras to capture the view over and at iconic buildings including Madison Square Garden, the New Yorker Hotel, One Penn Plaza, and the World Trade Center, the 2001 collapse of which marked a break in the urban terrain. The view is always the same, but Leist’s photographs show the hours and years passing. He has a current catalog of more than 4000 photographs.  Leist’s most extensive project, WINDOW, was exhibited in the 20-year format for the first time at Stadthaus Ulm, Berlin, in December 2015 http://www.swr.de/landesschau-aktuell/bw/ausstellung-in-ulm-blick-aus-dem-fenster-auf-new-york/-/id=1622/did=16651766/nid=1622/1lx538a/.
